Jo Prendergast, our Regional Account Manager for the South West joined us in May 2018. She hopes to keep growing the relationships in her area. Keep reading to find out what she likes to do during her spare time and her job role.
1. When did you join SortRefer?
I joined in May 2018
2. What was your previous job role?
Previously I worked as an Account Development Manager for a Financial Services Company.
3. Describe a typical day as a Regional Account Manager?
A typical day is out on the road meeting face to face with existing accounts, developing the relationships, supporting with any questions and looking at how they could enhance their client offering and business earning potential with our other products on offer.
Also, meeting with potential new introducers to share the benefits of using SortRefer and demonstrating the portal and explaining the added value areas.
4. What questions do you mostly get asked by brokers?
I mostly get asked how to register, quote, instruct and track the cases. Introducers also ask questions about the benefits of our Fixed Price Remortgage products and about our suppliers on panel. Some brokers are interested in what’s new at SortRefer and want to find out how they can increase their business earning potential with the offering of products and services that are available.
5. What’s the best way you can resolve an issue for a client?
Listen, understand, take ownership, update and follow through until resolved

7. What do you want to achieve in the next year?
I would like to build on the growth of the area and continue to develop the relationships with introducers both existing and new. Helping them and their clients benefit from our services, providing support in whatever way is needed.
8. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy spending time with my family, property renovation, socialising and travel.

10. What do you love the most about your job?
I enjoy meeting existing and new introducers and demonstrating the benefits of using the SortRefer portal to boost the services that they can offer as well as helping them to increase their business earning potential.
