1. When did you join SortRefer?

I joined in October 2017

2. What were your previous job roles?

I've had a variety of job roles before joining SortRefer, including working in a call centre for Sky and EE after graduating from university, being a supervisor in a Restaurant and Bar, working for RBS in their technology centre where I helped set up new team training programs and I've worked at the East Midlands airport.

3. What do you enjoy about working for SortRefer?

The people here. It's a great work environment

4. What questions do you mostly get asked by brokers?

The most common question I get asked is “When is it going to complete?”

I also get asked, “Is your name Welsh?”

5. What advice would you give someone who wants to work in customer services?

You need to be able to communicate well and listen properly to people. You need to learn not to take anything too seriously or to heart and to remain calm at all times. A good customer service person always tries their best to fulfil all the requirements of the customers to ensure they are fully satisfied. Working in customer services helps you discover what it is like to work in a fast-paced and sometimes demanding environment.

6. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I look forward to the weekend when I can spend time with my daughter. I enjoy Rollerblading, watching Netflix and my Xbox.

7. What are your top tips for resolving an issue for a broker?

To jump on the problem right away and get a speedy, detailed, correct response. Fulfilling all the needs of the broker.

8. What are you currently looking forward to the most?

The invention of a time travel and the Rugby world cup this year

9. Tell us something most people don't know about you?

I once met the Dalai Lama

10. What's your favourite breakfast meal?

I don't believe in eating breakfast (or the alternative is that I just like my bed too much to get up in time!)
