1. When did you join SortRefer?

April 2016

2. What was your previous role?

Team Manager at EE

3. What does a day as a TAM look like?

Each day is very different. Every client has different requirements, which keeps me on my toes trying to think of different ways to cater the brokers and their clients individually.

4. What questions do you mostly get asked by brokers?

We get asked so many different questions, for instance, questions about our solicitors on panel, the SortRefer system and sometimes lender related questions. I always say to all my brokers whatever you are not sure about give me a call first. I might not always know the answer but we have a great team and our solicitors on panel that are always willing to help.

5. What do you love the most about your job?

I enjoy making a difference and helping the business and clients. I am naturally a problem solver and every problem solved gives me huge satisfaction. I love that my opinion is valued, Directors at SortRefer always take the time to listen to our ideas and the whole team works together to make things happen.

6. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Going to the gym and travelling are my two biggest passions. I am also a big fan of self-help books.

7. What advice would you give someone who wants to work in customer services?

You have to have very strong people skills – caring about your job and listening to your clients takes you a long way. A passion for learning and change is really important too- you need to be able to constantly evolve in this industry as it’s ever-changing.

8. What’s your biggest achievement?

Moving to the UK, learning the language and getting to the position that I am right now.

9. Tell us something most people don’t know about you?

When I was younger I was a professional cross country skier and was a champion at the age of 14.
