When did you join SortRefer?

October 26th 2016

What was your previous role?

Sales Negotiator at Frank Innes

What does a day as a TAM look like?

My day varies so much. It's a combination of incoming calls which vary from requests for updates, help with instructing a case or to chase a solicitor. The other part is my outbound work which involves a bit of research and planning before I make a sales call. My aim is to build a rapport with the broker and let them know I'm here to support them. It can be extremely busy at times but we all work together as a team and it flows really well.

What questions do you mostly get asked by brokers?

We get asked how to instruct and quote, also to find out when they are being paid, plus questions about stamp duty which we refer to HMRC

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

I have 3 dogs so love walking, meeting friends for a meal, watching Netflix and have just started basic wood carving.

What would you like to achieve in the next year?

I would like to build on the success continue working alongside my RAM (Regional Account Manager) Jo Prendergast to make the South West even more solid.

What do you enjoy the most about working at SortRefer?

I enjoy telephone work and the challenge of reaching targets, love working with the team as we get on so well.

Being selected as a finalist at the BESMA awards 2018 in the “Rising Start Category”, meaning I made it into the final eight to be nominated for the award. Such a proud moment.
