On Thursday 21st September, we held our first ever in-house event to celebrate the move to our new office and the success this year so far. We had lots to get excited about, shout about and throw a party about. So, we invited some of our local users, our suppliers and celebrated with our employees in our brand new offices that were kitted out with bunting, balloons and bucket loads of cake!
Since we launched in 2009, we’ve grown considerably and the office move was a huge milestone in our ongoing journey. In March 2017, we moved out of our tiny office in Etwall, to a large octagonal building in Derby. Before, up to sixteen people crowded a two-up; two down office teamed with carpets and curtains. Now, we’ve tripled in size in terms of people and office space and have launched Sort Legal, our in-house law firm. Moving offices marked a significant time for SortRefer. It was all about growth.
Our party was intended to show people our culture, what we do and to take time to reflect on the changes and enjoy the success. We had a magician, photo booth, lots of cake, food, wine, beer, props, sweets and decorations to help make our end of summer party such a pleasure.
