We are excited to introduce Jacob Lawton, the fourth member of our Marketing Team based in South Shields. Since joining, Jacob has brought fresh ideas to help drive brand awareness and engagement. He’s already been working on some of our latest brands Estatio, and Hello Mortgage, as well as exciting new brands in the pipeline.

How have you found it at Sort Group so far?
Everyone has been so inviting and welcoming. I have learnt a lot about the industry and business in my short time here.
What made you want to join our Sort Group team?
The personability of the staff. I remember my interview feeling really relaxed, and the whole hiring process felt relaxed and like a conversation regarding my life and skills rather than a question-answer format you often see in hiring.
What did you do before joining Sort?
I worked as a Health Care Assistant in Primary Care in the NHS, taking blood and doing injections for patients. I had gone to university for journalism and wanted to move into marketing from the skills learnt in that course.
Why did you want to take up a career in marketing?
I did an internship with a construction company for 6 months when and really enjoyed every aspect; it felt like the right blend of making an impact on people and creativity for me.
How would your family and friends describe you?
Loud and energetic. Bordering on annoying.
What did you want to be when you were younger?
A Journalist
If you could invent one thing, what would it be?
Fast travel
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
I want to progress my marketing career and be in a position where I feel fully confident taking up space in the industry. On a wider scope of my life, I would just like to be happy with my career and personal life. And I'd like a cat.
