Due to recent fluctuations in mortgage rates, our panel of conveyancers have been inundated with revised mortgage offers on remortgage and purchase cases in recent months.

We appreciate that changing a mortgage offer is done to suit the client’s best interests and to give them the best deal possible.

However, some mortgage offers are often updated multiple times as part of the process, with some being received once most of the legal work has been completed. From a conveyancer’s perspective, a new mortgage offer brings with it additional work, time spent, and due diligence that they must satisfy to ensure they are protecting the client’s best interests legally.

Please note that the additional fees differ across our panel, but your client can find details of possible additional charges in their initial fee list as part of their onboarding process.

We hope this clarifies any possible queries about additional charges relating to new mortgage offers, and we appreciate your support.
