Our In-house Customer Service team pride itself on providing exceptional service, working with Brokers, Introducers and Suppliers. We have expanded to keep our high service standards, and we're pleased to announce our new starter, Tilly Smith.

Tilly joined SortRefer last week and has settled in well. Over the week, we took some time to get to know her personally.

We have pulled together an insightful Q&A; we discussed everything from work motivations to dream vacations. Tilly has also shared with us her inspirations, aspirations for SortRefer and, of course, the unique name of her adorable cat!

What is your new job title at SortRefer?

My job title at SortRefer is Customer Service Adviser.

 

What did you do before joining SortRefer?

Before joining SortRefer, I did Sales, Marketing, and social media for three small events businesses based in Nottingham.

 

If you could holiday anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

If I could holiday anywhere in the world, I would go to Australia because I love the sun and it's such a polar opposite of England; I think it would be amazing to visit. I have family there, and friends who have been and they all say it is the best place on the planet.

 

What attracted you to SortRefer?

What attracted me to SortRefer was its expanding team. I'm excited to be a part of a growing and developing company.

 

What's something you saw recently that made you smile?

Something recently that made me smile is my cat, Stevie Nicks.

 

 Who has influenced you the most regarding how you approach your work?

My parents are probably the people who have influenced me the most in my approach to work. They've taught me that it's okay not to be 100% certain of what I want to do and take every day and new experience as building blocks and lessons to aid me in the future.

 

How would you describe good Customer Service?

Good customer service ensures that customers feel secure and comfortable throughout the entire duration of service being provided. They should be able to trust they will be getting exactly what they expect and help solve any issues to the best of their abilities.

 

 Tell us something not many people know about you?

I used to run 200m competitively and came top in Derby school districts between 2014-2016.

 

What are you most looking forward to in your new role at SortRefer?

I'm looking forward to meeting new people and being back in an office environment after 2 years out. I'm also excited to expand my knowledge of the industry and be a part of providing high-quality service to customers.

 

What energizes you at work?

Coffee…but also a positive environment with a lively atmosphere.
