Whilst this increase of business is positive to see, this is currently having a wider impact on the whole of the industry; from Lenders pulling deals or taking longer to provide mortgage offers, conveyancing firms being stretched to capacity, searches taking longer due to geographical backlogs and longer waiting times for Surveys to take place. All of these elements are having an impact and we are seeing that property transactions are now taking longer as a result.

 

What this means for us and our Suppliers:

Our Conveyancing and Survey suppliers have informed us that they are experiencing huge demand on their services at the moment, which has come at a time when for the above mentioned reasons things are taking longer than usual to complete

Searchflow who provide our searches have advised that in many geographical regions they are experiencing extra demand on their services, which in turn means that search results are taking longer to receive, as councils also struggle to cope with demands due to Covid and having staff working from home.

Here at SortRefer, we’d like to ask for you to bear with our suppliers at these extremely busy times. They are managing the additional workloads at the same time as adhering to Covid secure guidelines, so if we can all work together, we will give ourselves the best opportunity to ensure that each transaction runs as smoothly as possible.
