A huge welcome to Graham Le Bas who joins SortRefer as Head of Broker Proposition. His role includes managing our team of Regional Account Managers and overseeing our Broker Proposition. We took some time to get to know Graham as he settles into his new role.

Rumour has it, you have a history with SortRefer, tell us more...

Ah, time for a reveal! I worked at SortRefer from 2014 to 2016 as a Business Development Manager for the South-West region. To be honest, when I saw that SortRefer were hiring BDM’s back in 2014, I enquired about the role, secured an interview but I was uncertain about whether I would take it or not as it was as a self-employed BDM.  I had BDM experience back then but had always had the comfort of being employed my whole working career.  However, I was so impressed at what SortRefer had to offer and after my meeting with Kevin I was buzzing and believed in the firm instantly. I thoroughly enjoyed my two years with SortRefer as a Business Development manager.

Why did you decide to join SortRefer in 2020?

The same reason I joined them back in 2014. It’s an award-winning proposition that is designed by brokers for brokers. There isn’t another portal that is able to provide what we can.  It’s a great company to work for.

What was your previous job role?

Prior to this I was National Sales Manager with Fleet Mortgages, a specialist Buy To Let lender

How do you spend your spare time?

I enjoy spending time with my family. For leisure, I enjoy a game of golf

You joined the company during a pandemic. The industry seems to be a flourish with activity at the moment, what are your predictions as we go forward into next year?

Good question, people keep talking about when things return to normal!  I think that whatever was considered to be “normal” in the past will look completely different in the future. Whatever happens, I think we will all be embracing a new way of going about our business.  One thing for sure, people will always need somewhere to live.  This means there will always be a demand for property related products and services which is at the centre of what SortRefer do.
