Peter Higgins joins our team as Regional Account Manager for the South East. We took the time to get to know him a little better and find out how he’s getting on so far.
Why did you decide to join SortRefer?
I wanted to work for a smaller company where the growth potential is far bigger. I also previously worked in the property industry and found the conveyancing side very interesting. The problem solving was what I missed and I’m excited to work with brokers on their cases.
What was your previous job role?
Prior to SortRefer, I worked for Vitality in Insurance where I looked after one of the U. K’s largest accounts. I would sell across Life and Health and ensured all clients received the best possible service. As mentioned above, prior to insurance I worked in the property industry for a national agent where I worked to increase the sales revenue across Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire by working with negotiators, valuers and managers to ensure the service they received was second to none.
How do you spend your spare time?
In my spare time, you’ll probably find me on a squash court, a golf course, cooking or travelling.
If you had to choose only one food dish to survive on, what would it be and why?
The one dish I would choose to survive on would have to be a rustic Spanish Paella. In the past, I’ve spent many times eating Paella abroad and can’t think of anywhere better to have a paella than in Mallorca.
Tell us something most people don’t know about you?
Between my Dad and I, we own a flat in Mallorca.
Finally, what do you think are the three main selling points of SortRefer for advisers?
The three main selling points for advisers are the refer and earn aspect, advisers can earn a lot of money from referring business across to our panel of conveyancers.
The SortRefer portal also ensures that brokers can be kept up to date with the transactions going through. They can login and see exactly where the property is and what is outstanding (if anything!).
Lastly, you have me and Dawn as your account management team. Our role is to ensure that brokers are happy with the level of service that you’re receiving, and the panel of solicitors are getting the instructions through as quickly as possible. If there are any issues, you have a point of contact and we can give the solicitors a push and see the property through to exchange and completion. We’re also able to help with any other queries you may have.
