Three years ago, Daysharn Blackwood joined as a Business Administration Apprentice at Sort Legal. Fast forward to today, and she's taken the next step in her career, joining SortRefer as Regional Support Executive for North London.

Working alongside our Senior Business Development Manager, Roy Mansell, Daysharn will be your key point of contact for all your SortRefer needs, from case queries, portal guidance and any other questions you may have.

To help you get to know Daysharn a little better, we asked her a few questions, so you can get to know the person behind the role...

You've recently moved from Sort Legal to SortRefer. Tell us a little about your journey within Sort Group so far.

I started in Sort Legal doing an apprenticeship, once I completed my qualification, I became a Client Inception Executive in the New Business team.

What attracted you to the Regional Support Executive role, and what made you decide to make the move to SortRefer?

I wanted to learn more about conveyancing from another perspective.

How has your experience in the New Business team at Sort Legal prepared you for this new position?

My experience in new business has given me some insight into the conveyancing process. I’m eager to learn more about the industry, so moving over to SortRefer was a great opportunity to develop.

What does a typical day look like for you as a Regional Support Executive, and what support can introducers expect from you?

So far I’m still learning as I go with this new role. Mainly my day consists of speaking with different Brokers and looking into their case queries.

What's been the biggest lesson you've learned during your time with Sort Group so far?

Don’t leave your mug in the kitchen, you’ll never see it again!

Where do you see yourself in the next few years, and what are your goals moving forward? 

I’d like to progress in SortRefer and learn more about the company. I’d also love to have another cat.
