We’re excited to celebrate a big milestone for our West Regional support team, as our Regional Support Ruth steps into her new senior position. A well-deserved promotion in recognition of all the hard work and dedication she’s shown over the years, supporting both our brokers and team.
From growing in confidence to supporting one of our biggest regions, Ruth shares her journey so far…
Big congratulations on your senior promotion! What does this mean to you both professionally and personally?
Thank you, it's great to have been given this promotion. I think this is recognition for the hard work and dedication I have shown SortRefer, the team and our brokers over my years at SortRefer.
What do you think has helped you grow and progress in your career?
I think a big part of my growth and progression here has been due to a lot of support from Paul and Becci. They have helped with my confidence, knowledge and progression. I am very grateful to them both for their continued support.
What has been your proudest achievement as a senior regional support executive for the West region?
I love going to visit my brokers with Paul and really enjoy going to events we have organized. It is fun to meet new people and show them what SortRefer can do to help them.
What has challenged you the most during your time at SortRefer?
As I try to help everyone I can, it can be challenging when you cannot provide a response that a broker or client is happy with. It can be hard to accept that we cannot make everyone happy, but I try my best, even if it's not the news people want to hear, I always try to help where possible.
How do you support brokers to ensure they have a positive experience with SortRefer?
I try to get resolutions on issues as quickly as I can but I also want to make sure all the questions/queries are answered, so if I don’t get a response I am fully satisfied with, I will continue going back to solicitors and management until I get issues resolved.
What’s something you’ve learned about yourself through your journey?
When I started working here, I think I was quite low in confidence, but throughout my journey, thanks to support from the team, I have grown to be more confident in myself and my knowledge.
What are you most looking forward to in this next chapter?
I am looking forward to being able to support Becci and the team more and provide more support to the BDM’s if needed.
