Roy has been a valuable member of our Sales Team at SortRefer for over 10 years, consistently building meaningful partnerships with our brokers, identifying opportunities to improve our proposition, and bringing infectious charisma to the team.
As Roy steps into his new Senior role, we asked him some questions to celebrate this exciting milestone…
Congratulations on your promotion! Can you tell us a bit about your journey with SortRefer so far?
I have learnt so much with the guidance of colleagues and management within nearly 11 years, from being an IFA and Mortgage Broker back in the day, and trust me, that was back, back, back in the day to now, we never stop learning!
What has been your proudest achievement as North London Regional BDM?
There are quite a few, including being the business partner of the year with Coreco a few years back. Overall, it’s the satisfaction that I have increased the usage of our system across the areas that I work in and contributed to the massive growth we have seen in the last few years.
How do you measure your own success in your role?
The figures speak for themselves, which gives me immense pride and satisfaction, not to mention my gratitude to all the people who trust and use us.
How does it feel to be promoted to Senior BDM, and what excites you most about the role?
I am humbled and delighted to have been chosen to be named as a senior BDM, and I am looking forward to the new challenges that the title brings.
Are there any goals you’re particularly focused on in your new role?
To continue to support, mentor and educate my work colleagues and help our fantastic users whenever I can.
Is there a motto or saying that you try to live by?
“Just get on with it!”
What’s one piece of advice you wish you had known before you started your career?
Change the things that you can and ignore the things that you can't!
