Kashan is our Product Owner within the Development team here at SortRefer.

He joined SortRefer last month and has settled in well. Kashan is already onto some exciting new developments, and we can’t wait to see them come to life.

Check out our recent Q&A where we chatted all things ‘Geek’ and Kashan’s plans for the year ahead.

Why did you decide to join the SortRefer team?

I needed a new challenge, and from discussions with our CTO, the role seemed to be a good fit for my previous similar roles.

Tell us about your previous experience; what did you do before you joined SortRefer?

I’ve worked in various sectors – mainly healthcare.

I got to work on a wide range of healthcare software applications – one of them was nominated for an award, not sure how I managed that one!

I have recently been working in the video conferencing space, helping patients conduct remote consultations with their Doctor or Nurse.

How long have you worked in Product Management?

I’ve worked in Product Management for about 6-7 years now.

What do you enjoy the most about working at SortRefer?

Every day you learn something new, and there are always challenges you face every day, so it keeps you on your toes!

What would you like to achieve in the next year?

Currently, I’m working on defining and executing the product roadmap. There are many exciting things we are working on as a team and lots more to come. I’m hoping over the next 12 months, most of these will be ready to release.

Tell us something most people do not know about you?

I’m a tech geek! Always interested to know what’s being created and released.  I think it is because of my day job?!? Hmm…

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Socialising with friends and family - which is challenging to do in the current climate.

When lockdown lifted, what is the first thing you will be doing?

Holiday! It seems like forever since I was last on holiday.

What is your favourite dish and why?

Fish and Chips because it reminds me of my college/university days!
