Richard Barnett joins our team as a Telephone Account Manager for the North London region, working alongside Roy Mansell. We took the time to get to know him a little better and find out how he’s getting on so far.

What was your first ever job?

I started my working career as an apprentice printer at Boots.

What was your previous role before joining SortRefer?

Before I joined SortRefer, I was working in property development, specifically dealing with clients and suppliers.

What are you looking forward to learning the most in your new role?

I am looking forward to learning how to help brokers use our portal to get the most from the panel suppliers and provide their clients with the best service available.

What are your first impressions of the job role?

My first impressions of the role are that it is very customer service orientated requiring a high degree of administrative planning and I’m really enjoying it.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

My social life is extremely busy doing different activities with friends and family, which fill the weekends. During the week I tend to chill watching TV and take the dog out for long walks.

What is your favourite food?

I love a chateaubriand cooked ‘bleu’ all to myself.

What’s your favourite place you’ve ever visited?

I love Venice

What’s the first CD you ever bought?

I didn’t have CD’s back in my day, but the first record I ever bought was the single ‘Being Boiled’ by the Human League.

Tell us something most people don’t know about you?

I was a chess champion when I was 10.
