The working life of Telephone Account Manager, Kate Hedges
Katherine Hedges is our Telephone Account Manager for the West region. Keep reading to find out more about her job role.
1. When did you join SortRefer?
January 2017
2. What was your previous role?
Social media advisor at Vodafone.
3. What does a day as a TAM look like?
Every day at SortRefer is different. Most of my day is answering queries from brokers in my region, making calls to new users and checking in on our existing users.
4. What questions do you mostly get asked by brokers?
At the moment I get a lot of questions surrounding Remortgage and how they can be quoted on our portal. Quite often our brokers are surprised to learn they can do a fixed priced Remortgage for the slightly quirkier situations, these include transfer of equities, buy to let and help to buys.
5. What do you want to achieve in the next year?
I have just started my conveyancing training where I hope to gain a lot of knowledge and pass the subjects for the year ahead. At the moment I am studying the English legal system.
6. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy having a social drink, skating and watching live gigs when I can.
7. What are you currently looking forward to the most?
I am off to Venice this month, looking forward to lots of good food and Italian wine.
8. What do you enjoy the most about working at SortRefer?
SortRefer is a family, you can laugh and joke with everyone and I have never felt so valued as I do here. My brokers are great too, I am lucky to have wonderful ones in my patch and they make work even more enjoyable.
9. Tell us something most people don’t know about you?
I have quite a few tattoos, a big love for Stevie Wonder and don’t mind an opera or two.
