Meet Corey Else, a case handler at Fidler & Pepper who has worked with us since they joined our panel.Find out more about his relationship with us and his job role.
How long have you been a case handler and worked for Fidler & Pepper?
5 years (since leaving school at 17)
Have you always wanted a career in property law?
I didn’t know what I wanted to do when I left school but I knew I didn’t want to go to college or university as I wanted to be in work – I found an apprenticeship at Fidler and Pepper and developed my role to where I am now.
How long have you worked on cases via SortRefer?
I have worked with SortRefer since Fidler and Pepper first started working with them, so I think this is 3 or 4 years now.
What do you enjoy the most about your job?
I love how fast pace conveyancing is; there’s always something to be done or a deadline to meet and that excites me.
What are the most common questions you get asked?
How long will it take to complete? What is the difference between exchange and completion?
How does using SortRefer benefit you and the firm?
It benefits me personally because it allows me to work closely with brokers and estate agents and gain knowledge in all aspects of conveyancing. It benefits our firm as it is one of our main sources of work and it allows to work with mortgage brokers up and down the country.
How would you describe the service at SortRefer?
I find the people at SortRefer are very helpful and accommodating. The site is very easy to use and as our system is integrated with theirs so it is easy for us to update them on our cases. I would like to give a special mention to Laura Edwards as she deals with a lot of our queries and I personally use her as my first point of call. I also think Katherine Hedges is very helpful and extremely pleasant on the phone.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy socialising with my friends and family, and do enjoy attending CrossFit and the gym to try and keep active.
What are your three most important values/rules to live by?
Always be loyal to your friends/family. Try and make light of any bad situation (I am the class clown) and I feel a strong work ethic is important.
Sum up your experience with SortRefer in three words?
Supportive, Friendly and Grateful
