Meet Roy, our Regional Account Manager in North London. A lot of salespeople are renowned for talking the talk, but Roy can walk the walk too, being an ex-mortgage broker and financial adviser himself. After he was self-employed for a number of years, SortRefer was an opportunity too good to miss, with a chance to work on his own but not alone in an industry he's worked in for over 30 years.
The buzz of London
Out on the road, Roy manages his own time making sure he is available to all the brokers he looks after. When Roy used to sell insurance to brokers in London, he'd simply hop on a tube and visit 250 mortgage brokers all in a two-mile radius. London, Roy says, is fun and lively and a place you get a real buzz from, apart from in the summer when there was no air con on the tube. Now, Roy looks after all of North London. Roy delivers training and advice to brokers who want to use a modern, forward-thinking portal.
The support at SortRefer
Roy works alongside a telephone account manager, Gwyllam, who will be his office based support. While Roy is visiting our users, Gwyllam will be making sure everything runs smoothly on their portals.
Roy says, "having a TAM is beneficial to users in my territory and also for me. Gwyllam will offer an extra tier of support and a quicker response to their needs."
Selling SortRefer
As an ex-mortgage broker, Roy knows what his brokers want regarding client care and how to grow their businesses. He is currently focusing on promoting three things: our fixed price remortgage deal, with the inclusion of four suppliers, our relationship manager and our all-inclusive proposition.
Roy states:
"SortRefer is an all-encompassing system that gives brokers the opportunity to earn an extra income and provide their clients with a slicker conveyancing experience. It makes the brokers' lives easier not only in terms of workload but also with technology and its ease of use. It does everything they need it to do."
