Our client-facing quotations are comprehensive and are based on the information inputted at quotation stage. In our experience, the majority of transactions with our solicitor firms will complete with no additional charges being levied i.e. as per our quotations. But certain circumstances unavoidably give rise to the solicitor having to do extra work either on behalf of the client or client’s lender (if there is one). In these cases, it is reasonable to expect that the solicitor firm is likely to charge extra to reflect the additional work. Some transactions automatically trigger additional fees. e.g. leasehold properties, shared-ownership/shared-equity, new builds and help to buy. Our system is designed to include a number of icons to reflect the more specialised requirements. A disbursement is a payment that has to be made to a third party. For example, Stamp Duty, Land Registry fees and Searches. We include all of the standard disbursements applicable to any transaction in our quotations. However, there may be some occasions where additional disbursement costs may arise. In Scotland, a Home Report is an essential item in the house selling process and Sellers must have a Home Report prior to presenting their property to the market. The Home Report must be prepared by a fully-qualified Chartered Surveyor and contains the following three essential elements: Property Questionnaire, Single Survey and EPC – Energy Performance Certificate.

By creating a referral quotation you are not committing your client to purchase a report however once you 'instruct' the referral, our supplier will call the client with the intention of taking payment (or Direct Debit information if using the Payment Plan option) and making an appointment to visit the property.
We have one Fixed Price Remortgage deal available in Scotland. This product is designed to work well with a Lender's cashback option (free legals alternative).
The deal offers a competitive price for your client, whilst still offering a referral fee of £100.
Fees Assisted Remortgage provides another alternative to free legals, especially when the lender is offering cash back. It allows you to present a cost-effective Remortgage Conveyancing option to your client, whilst remaining in control of the transaction - it even includes a referral fee for you, too.
Whilst it doesn’t include all of the fees required, it does provide a cost- effective option for your client’s Remortgage. All of the additional fees required are all listed on the quotation, meaning it’s transparent, so your client knows exactly where they stand from the initial quotation:
