1. When did you join SortRefer?
I started with SortRefer in December 2017, where I completed my induction before starting out on the road in January 2018.
2. What was your previous job role?
I have been involved in financial services for just over 8 years across a number of disciplines, including Insurance and Pensions. In these roles, I have been responsible for the maintenance of key client accounts and working alongside brokers to strengthen relationships and identify additional areas for growth.
This included proactively seeking out new sales opportunities and partners as well as cross-selling additional products.
3. Describe the relationship with your brokers?
The brokers who I work with on a day to day basis are all unique in their own way – which is excellent as it makes no day the same. All of the brokers are very supportive of the service that we provide at SortRefer and appreciate the help that the RAM’s/TAM’s provide to alleviate any issues with their client’s cases.
4. What questions do you mostly get asked by brokers?
Brokers are looking for a service in which they can refer solicitors with confidence – therefore who we have on panel is an important question – but it is also how we work with these firms which is different to the competition.
The customer-focused approach alongside managing the capacity of these firms is a real differential – even more so now we have the ability to provide access to Sort Legal – our own firm.
5. Describe SortRefer in three words
Innovative, Resolute & Ambitious
6. What do you want to achieve in the next year?
On a personal level, I would like to reduce my golf handicap to somewhere closer to ten (currently 17). Professionally I am looking to continue to grow the region even further, which got off to a great start with a record month in January.
7. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy keeping active outside of work – whether that is going to the gym, playing football or cycling. I have recently moved house which is taking up a decent proportion of my spare time as there is always a job to be done – I am currently recuperating having undertaken the process of tiling the kitchen floor myself which seemed like a good idea! However, I think I underestimated the task in hand! (25sqm)
8. What are the advantages of using SortRefer?
SortRefer is a great online portal which provides mortgage professionals access to instant and more importantly accurate conveyancing quotes as well as a host of additional services. The intuitive system allows brokers to effortlessly track your cases through the sometimes complex conveyancing process saving countless hours wasted on hold over the phone. Finally, the most important offering is our dedicated customer service team who support our brokers with any manner of problems from quoting instructing through to case escalation.
