A huge welcome to our newest member of our SortRefer team, Michael Efejuku!
Working in our new South Shields office, Michael is now covering the South East Region, helping brokers in this area with their case enquiries and any additional support.
We spent some time getting to know Michael more and asked him a series of questions...
How have you found it at SortRefer so far?
So far, my experience at Sort Refer has been incredibly positive. The team has been welcoming and supportive.
What did you do before joining SortRefer?
Before joining SortRefer, I worked as a Customer service specialist and before that worked in a solar renewable company.
What made you want to join our SortRefer team?
I'm particularly excited about the opportunity to join SortRefer because it’s undergoing an expansion, and what’s more exciting than being part of that development.
Do you have any interesting hobbies or interests outside of work?
I’m passionate about football, basketball, tennis (lawn & table) which allows me to unwind and stay active. Additionally, I enjoy other interests like reading, cooking, or volunteering which helps me stay connected with the community.
What was your favourite subject in school and why?
My favourite subject in school was always Math. I enjoy the challenge of solving complex problems. Math also taught me critical thinking and analytical skills, which I've found to be incredibly valuable in many areas of life, including my professional work.
What’s your favourite movie and why?
I have got two if I want to be honest:
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Django Unchained
Both of these films I can watch over and over again.
Tell us something only a few people know about you…
In university, I came 2nd in a cooking competition! I would have come in 1st position, but they rigged the result.
What do you think you could bring to SortRefer?
I believe I can bring a strong combination of skills and experiences that will benefit SortRefer.
My background is in sales and customer service, I am proactive, confident and enjoy working in teams. I’m I’m excited about the opportunity to contribute my skills to a dynamic team like SortRefer’s and to help the company continue to lead the way in the industry.
