Our In-house Customer Service team pride itself on providing exceptional service, working with Brokers, Introducers and Suppliers. We have expanded to keep up our high service standards, and we're pleased to announce a new starter, Amy Carty.
Amy joined SortRefer last week and have settled in well. Over the week, we took some time to get to know her personally. We have pulled together an insightful Q&A; we discussed everything from work motivations to creative candle and furniture makers!

What is your new job title at SortRefer?
I am Joining the company as a Customer Service Adviser.
What did you do before joining SortRefer?
I have come from jobs where I have done Retail at Toolstation and came from call centre experience with The Economist and South-eastern Trains customer service.
What's one of your favourite memories from the past year?
My favourite memory of the past year is travelling up to York to meet my Partner for the first time, which was also when our relationship began.
What attracted you to SortRefer?
I was attracted to SortRefer due to the appeal of a work-life balance as it is typical office work hours. This makes planning a lot easier than working in shift work.
Tell us about your hobbies; what do you like to do outside of work?
Outside of work, I like to get creative. I make Candles and other toiletries while occasionally making my furniture when I have access to the workshop. I also enjoy writing young adult fiction.
What do you feel you can bring to the SortRefer team?
I could bring fun and upbeat energy and join that with the energy of the rest of the team.
How would you describe good customer service?
I would describe good customer service as trying to help the customer in any way and understanding their needs to the best of your ability.
What's your guilty pleasure?
My guilty pleasure would be choice-based romance story games. I have spent many hours reading these.
What are you most looking forward to in your new role at SortRefer?
I am most looking forward to getting to know the people I will be working with and helping anyone I can.
What energizes you at work?
Coffee is always a great energizer.
