At SortRefer, we pride ourselves on the help we provide. We understand that not all Conveyancing transactions are plain sailing; which is why we have a dedicated support team to assist you. We’ve received some fantastic feedback from some of our users, so don’t just take our word for it!

We've pulled together a series of short case studies that show how SortRefer have helped our users to overcome some of the issues that arise in the life of financial intermediaries. Last in the series, is an example of when a broker's issue was resolved with the help from our team.

"The team at SortRefer helped enormously by taking ownership and maintaining regular contact with the solicitor until completion, which I believe helped to move things along quicker." Simon Clark, Veracity Financial Planning

The Challenge

A mortgage broker from Veracity Planning was informed of an issue by one of his clients, where there appeared to be a breakdown in communication between the client, and the solicitor dealing with the client's re-mortgage process. As the client had now moved onto a Standard Variable Rate, they were keen to receive updates on how long it would take to complete. They were not getting this information from the solicitor dealing with the conveyancing, and therefore getting very frustrated.

The Solution

The broker wanted to help his client so contacted SortRefer. After the situation was explained, Gemma got in touch with the solicitor to try and resolve the issue. Following initial contact, she continued to chase for daily updates on the case, while also keeping the broker updated. Good communication was vital to keeping the case moving along. This allowed the broker to keep his client informed of the progress being made, without any hassle of making additional calls to the solicitor, ultimately saving the broker's time.

The Outcome

In the end, the case completed, which meant that the client was happy and, of course, the broker was pleased that the issue had been resolved. The broker believed that the intervention from SortRefer sped up the process.
