Find out why Neil chose to work for SortRefer, what he enjoys doing in his spare time and his favourite food!

Why did you choose SortRefer?

I chose SortRefer because it was important for me to work for a company who were broker focused, understood the market and the important role of technology in the industry. It’s also important to me that a company listens to its customers and values their feedback. 

Where did you work before?

I previously worked as BDM for Vitality over the North West, promoting Vitality and supporting brokers in all aspects of the product range. 

More recently I have been working as an Adviser. Although I have being doing some mortgage related advice, I have predominantly specialised in business protection, Health insurance and employee benefits. 

What do you like to do in your spare time?

In my spare time I’m a typical bloke, love football, boxing, cars and having a drink. Enjoy the gym, and playing golf as long as it’s sunny! 

If you could choose just one food to live on, what would it be?

My favourite food is Pizza, it’s the best thing ever invented, but if I eat it I immediately put on a stone!

Tell us something that not many people know about you...

Something nobody knows? .... I used to own a successful beauty salon in Liverpool city centre. I know far too much about the beauty and cosmetic  industry for a 40 year old man! 

Finally, what do you think are the three main selling points of SortRefer?

  • Additional revenue stream is a huge one for me. The mortgage market is so competitive, and I think it’s vital that advisers maximise their earning potential with every client. Lots of brokers complain about leads etc, but the truth is you need far less clients if you maximise every transaction properly. 
  • Real time updates are so appealing to brokers, it means they can manage their time more effectively and not waste time chasing for updates. If used properly the updates can help ease the clients stress and confusion during the mortgage process.
  • Free second searches is something that’s so undersold. It’s a fantastic benefit and not only gives the client peace of mind, but also helps the broker justify his recommendation to use SortRefer.

Any IFA or Mortgage Broker can register but for the benefit of the adviser's firm, we've structured our payment system around firms of advisers.

This means that any individual can register with SortRefer, however details of the business owner are required for the purpose of providing bank details.
