Fee Guard is a policy which can be added to your client’s purchase for just
£33.60 and offers them peace of mind for certain up-front costs involved in their purchase.
Your client will receive protection for certain unforeseen events linked to
their purchase to the value of £1,000* and is valid for a total of 365 days
from instruction, providing ample cover.

When quoting for a purchase on the SortRefer system, please select ‘Yes’ when asked if you would like
to add on the Fee Guard product. This will ensure that the applicable fee is added to the quotation
and the policy will become live from the moment the quotation is instructed.
The Fee Guard Policy will be put on risk from the date the purchase case is instructed through
SortRefer. Any fees incurred prior to this date will not be reclaimable. It’s in the client’s best
interest to instruct their Solicitor of choice before, or on the same day as the mortgage
application is made.
The Fee Guard policy is valid for 365 days from the date the policy is put on risk, giving a your
client great amount of cover for those unexpected, up-front costs that can often occur at the time
of a purchase, should it fall through.
Once the case has been instructed through the SortRefer system, the policy is put on risk.
Upon acceptance of the case:
1) As the introducer, you'll receive a copy of the
Fee Guard policy documentation by email
2) Your client will also receive the Fee Guard
policy documentation by email
